While drinking water with the herd members, the wild buffalo was unfortunately bitten on the nose by a crocodile. Fortunately, thanks to its outstanding health, the buffalo still had enough strength to create a spectacular escape from death.

During the rainy months, the Lowveld of South Africa becomes extremely fertile and provides good conditions for plants to flourish. This is also what attracts many herbivores.

And where there are herds of herbivores, there are also powerful predators. Like the Nile crocodiles living in the Lowveld Region, they had just gone through a dry and hungry season so they wanted to find large prey to relieve their hunger, but this time the crocodile chose the wrong target.

With a weight of nearly 1 ton and outstanding health, the wild buffalo lifted the crocodile out of the water despite being bitten on the nose by a predator.

Then, the wild buffalo even dragged the crocodile ashore, forcing the predator to release the bait and return to the water. It is known that this entire scene was recorded by Dr. Marc DeBerardinis while visiting wild animals with his friends.
