Waiting for the newborn antelope, the hyena rushed to catch it. However, it encountered fierce resistance from the father and mother antelopes to protect their child.

The incident was filmed by a tourist at Maasai Mara National Park (Kenya). This heartbreaking scene began when a female antelope had just given birth and was taking care of it.

A hungry hyena risked its life to catch a newborn Topi (Scientific name: Damaliscus korrigum), the victim’s parents did not let the hyena rest because of this action.

The two parent antelopes took turns to hit the hyena, causing it to be repeatedly hit, but hunger made the hyena no longer care about this physical pain. It was determined to risk its life to fill its stomach.

Although the parent antelopes did their best, in front of this stubborn opponent, they could only helplessly watch their child being harmed and eaten. Survival is always harsh from the moment a baby antelope is born and that is the inevitable law of life.
