When a group of lions surrounded a baby elephant, a buffalo quickly rushed in to attack, causing the “lords of the grasslands” to lose their meal instantly.
The elephants were digging in the ground for mud and the remaining water in the lake bed. After their midday rest, the lions awoke and began their hunt, targeting a lost baby elephant.
Using their numbers and strength, the lions easily captured the baby elephant. However, before they could kill their prey, an unexpected event occurred.
Upon seeing the lions capture the baby elephant, the buffalo herd swiftly gathered to attack the predators. It’s unclear whether the buffalo mistook the baby elephant for one of their own or simply harbored a strong dislike for lions, but they launched a fierce attack, causing the big cats to flee in chaos.
