On May 28, staff at Khao Yai National Park, Thailand discovered and successfully rescued a baby elephant trapped in a drainage hole.

When the baby elephant fell into the hole, the mother elephant was extremely panicked and guarded the edge of the hole, making it impossible for rescuers to reach the baby elephant.

Therefore, rescue workers were forced to inject the mother elephant with a sedative to be able to continue the rescue. However, unfortunately, after the injection, the mother elephant also fell into the hole and lost consciousness. Therefore, the rescue team’s task becomes even more difficult.

As a result, rescue workers had to use a crane to pull the mother elephant out and quickly perform CPR on her. At the same time, they also used excavators and excavators to dig away the soil around the hole so that the baby elephant could easily climb up.

After escaping, the baby elephant immediately sought breast milk, while the mother elephant was still being given cardiopulmonary resuscitation by staff. Fortunately, the mother elephant finally woke up. The mother and child safely returned to the forest under the watch of rescue workers.
